A woman is accused of adultery and is about to be stoned to death, until Jesus intervenes. We will take a walk down to the river and throw some stones into the water. As we do, we will discuss looking at ourselves before judging others. We will also see how compassionate Christ is and build an inukshuk to remember that he has taught us how to love.
Feel free to read John 8:1-11 to familiarize yourself with the passage before the event.
We will meet out front of the church as there is a wedding rehearsal and decorating happening in the church this night (If the weather is awful, we will meet in the Sunday School Room).
The evening will consist of:
A walk down to the river from the church
Story and lesson on the riverbank
Stone throwing
Inukshuk building
Large group picture
Walk back to the church
Announcements and pick-up
Everyone in Grades 7-12 is welcome! Invite your friends for the fun!
