In 2001, a series of earthquakes devastated El Salvador. Nearly 1,000 people were killed, over 5,000 people were injured, and several hundred thousand people had their homes severely damaged or destroyed.
In 2002, a group of individuals from Airdrie, AB responded to a call for help from El Salvador, and with a team of 10, built 3 homes in a week. While this initiative may seem insignificant when compared to the damage caused by the earthquakes, over the next 20 years, members from this team have partnered with many other groups of individuals to construct over 5,000 homes for families in need in El Salvador.
We are in the process of forming a team to embarked on this journey to serve in the San Vincente department of El Salvador.
Learn more about the journey here and on the organization’s website.
Please reach out by e-mail to learn more if you are interested to participate as we prepare for the mission in 2025.

We support Cherry (Serawit) who first joined SIM Ethiopia in 1993. The Lord shortly shortly placed her heart with a burden for women trapped in prostitution. By 1994/95, in partnership with close friends, they began building friendships with women walking the streets of Addis which eventually became a ministry project under SIM Ethiopia.

Tiffany, with her heart full of love for the Lord, is currently on sabbatical from her work in Japan. She was volunteering with SEND International as a bookkeeper and will return next year.
