Why we gather in Smaller Groups?
To Intentionally follow jesus in Fellowship
Welcome to GoodTree’s Discipleship Life Groups where we intentionally follow Jesus as the Body of Christ. The church community is a vibrant fellowship that gathers with the purpose of loving God, loving others, and making disciples. In order to do so, we need to truly do life together. We encourage all congregants to get connected with a Discipleship Life Group to fully enter into the life of the church.
3 Simple Reasons:

Personal
- Personal: Foster opportunities for meaningful fellowship and intentional discipleship
- Consistent: Offer consistent, personal, and authentic congregational care
- Study: Deeply engage in God’s Word through scripture: to study, share, and live out the gospel.

Applicable
- Spiritual: we are devoted to C.A.P.S. (care, accountability, prayer, scripture)
- Communal: we strive for Christlikeness through fellowship (meaningful relationship) and discipleship (following the footsteps of Jesus)
- Missional: we are outward and mission focused; we meet with the purpose of serving one another and others (locally and globally)

Purposeful
- See: what God is doing around us, those around us, and the mission we’re called to.Matthew 9:35-38; Luke 10:25-37; Luke 7:36-50
- Surrender: our heart, soul, strength, and will to Jesus and to submit to one another out of our love for Christ. Matthew 16:24-27; John 15:9-17; Matthew 22:34-40
- Serve: Jesus by serving those around us in all the context we interact and inhabit. John 13:1-17; Matthew 25:31-46; Luke 9:1-6
