After 40 days of Lent, and the roller-coaster from Maundy Thursday, through Good Friday, and on to Easter Sunday, what has been the impact on your life? Are you walking closer with Jesus, or do you find yourself unchanged, maybe even stuck in a rut? It often seems that after a weekend of worship and awe at God’s sacrificial love, days later, things are back to “normal.” We are not alone. Despite witnessing the resurrection, the first disciples tried to fit Jesus into their worldview rather than allowing him to redefine it. If we are going to live in light of the resurrection, like the disciples, we need to confront what is holding us back so that we can better understand what’s next!
