Drop Off & Pick Up at the Church

Hey everyone!

We’re back this week and excited to gather again at the church this Friday!

This Friday we will continue our new series, Our Questions. We will be talking about God's goodness from the questions:

1. How can God be fully good when there is suffering?
2. Why did Eve eat the forbidden fruit and God made us suffer?

It’s going to be a great night of exploring these questions together. As always, you can expect fun activities, a lesson, small group discussions, and snacks. Looking forward to seeing you all there!

As a reminder, the question submission link below will remain open, so please feel free to send in anything you’ve been wondering about. We’ll do our best to incorporate as many questions as we can in the next few months, and we can always continue the series in the fall if there are lots of questions.

Our Questions!

Next Friday, we will be hosting a babysitting night as part of our Serve fundraiser!

Parents can sign their kids up by donation, and we’ll be hanging out with the kids for the evening—playing games, doing crafts, and just making sure they have a great time. It’s a fun way for us to serve our community and give parents a chance to enjoy a night out!

Please note that our start time is at 5:30PM next Friday. If you are unable to make it earlier, please let one of the leaders know!

Please forward this invite to any families that you know with little kids!

Serve 2026!

From July 5–11, 2026 youth from churches from CBWC across Western Canada will gather in Wetaskiwin, AB for a week of service, worship, friendship, and fun. This is a week in the summer that our youth group looks forward to every year and if this is your first time, we'd love to have you join us!

SERVE is a short-term mission trip — where we get the opportunity to bless the Wetaskiwin community through service projects like gardening, visiting seniors, helping at local ministries, and more, and then come together each evening for worship, games, and learning. Serve is an awesome way to spend time together as a youth group, meet new people, and experience God at work through serving His people and loving the community around us. We can’t wait to see what God will do through SERVE 2026!

Please note, please do not pay for your registration and instead click "please invoice my church for payment" as we will be doing a few fundraisers in the coming months.

If you have any questions about what SERVE is about or what to expect, please reach out to Noelle.

Early bird registration ends on April 30, if you are planning to go, please register by then as it would be helpful for the Serve coordinators to have the numbers by then!

Another great opportunity for us to be together and serve together this summer is with our Youth Volunteer Camp (July 16–18) or volunteering as a leader for our elementary camps!

This is for all youth entering Grades 7–12 who will be serving at least one week of elementary camp this summer. It will be a meaningful weekend of training, team-building, and discipleship as you prepare to lead and serve well. Registration for both youth camp and volunteering is now open, so be sure to sign up soon if you’re planning to join us this summer—spots are capped each week!
