This June we are teaching your kids that they are special to God from head to toe. This week we will talk about how God called Samuel by name because He knew Samuel and the plans He had for him. God knows each of us by name too. He sent His Son, Jesus, so we could have a friendship with Him. The friendship and forgiveness God offers is personal, and He invites each of us to respond to Him in faith. We are made to belong to God, and we are special to Him. Your kids will learn that God made them, He loves them, and even their names are special to Him.

As we head into the summer months, we would love to invite more parents to join our Family Ministry team! Each Sunday, we run 5 full classrooms and need around 10 volunteers weekly to help create a safe, fun, and Christ-centered environment for our kids.

There are many ways to serve — whether you’d enjoy teaching, assisting in a classroom, helping with activities, or simply being an encouraging presence for our children.

You can serve once a month, every other month, or more frequently depending on your availability. Serving in children’s ministry is such a meaningful way to invest in the next generation, build relationships with other families, and play a part in helping kids grow in their faith and understanding of God’s love. If you’ve been considering getting involved, this is a wonderful time to jump in!

Summer camp prep is officially underway, and we are getting so excited for all the fun, learning, friendships, and memories that will be made this summer! We can’t wait to see kids grow in confidence, connection, and faith through all the activities planned for camp.

There are still spots available for both weeks, so if you haven’t signed up yet, there’s still time! We would also love your help spreading the word — if you have friends, neighbors, or other families who may be interested, please send the invitation their way!

Elementary Camp is open to kids going into Grades 1–6 in the fall, with two weeks available:

Week 1: July 27–31

Week 2: August 10–14

• June 12 – There will be no Sunday School and church service in the building as GoodTree Church will be at Gull Lake Centre for Family Camp.
• Family Sundays – July 19 & August 30 – There will be no Sunday School on these Sundays. Kids are invited to join their parents in the main service as we worship together as a church family!
• Annual End of Summer BBQ Bash – August 30 – Save the date! Following the service, we’ll gather at the Crescent Heights High School Football Field for a BBQ lunch and family celebration. We’ll be celebrating kids moving up into their new classes as well as students transitioning into youth ministry! A RSVP link will be available in next month's email!
